Woman gives her cat away because she thinks it’s gay…
I really can’t. Apparently a woman in Nigeria claims that her cat was gay so she disowned the cat. She had the cat for 7 years…she disowned the cat because she claimed the cat had displayed “an un-natural sexual behavior” and that she found it “a contradiction of the laws of nature”. Saddest of all, not one single person came forward to rescue the cat. Last year, a dog was put down in Nigeria after the owner has disowned it for believing it was gay.
As you know, Nigeria has some pretty strict anti-gay laws. Sounds to me like Nigeria could use a bit of an education boost.

Yikes!! Cecil Chao, a BILLIONAIRE from Honk Kong is offering $130 MILLION to any man who can “turn his daughter straight”. This is the kind of stuff that you just can’t make up. Chao initially offered $65 Million in September of 2012 when his daughter Gigi eloped with her female partner in France. In January of 2013 he was quoted as saying, “I would not force her to marry a man. But obviously I would, from my point of view, prefer her to be married and to have grandchildren.”.
FYI, so far there have been 20,000 men who have failed at this “task”.
Here is what Gigi had to say to the South China Morning Post, “I don’t think my dad’s offering of any amount of money would be able to attract a man I would find attractive”. “I would be happy to befriend any man willing to donate huge amounts of money to my charity Faith in Love, provided they don’t mind that I already have a wife. Third and lastly, thank you Daddy, I love you too.”.
Yes HUNTY!! That’s right!! PS Daddy, I love you too is the perfect touch. I would have done that or gone ape-shit angry in my quote. One of the two.
Needless to say, this shows just how ignorant some people are. This guy has no idea how offensive and hurtful this is to his daughter. What a complete d-bag.

Obama and gay
HRC just released an interesting little study. President Obama apparently has used the word “gay” 272 times in the past 5 years. That is the most on record for a US President. This is really a great step forward for our community. It should be noted that President Clinton came in second place with using the word gay 216 times during his presidency.
Here is what the President of HRC, Chad Griffin had to say, “Words matter an enormous amount, and when President Obama uses his platform to declare that LGBT people are just as American as anyone else, it has a huge and historic effect,”. “Evidence suggests that when people know us, they don’t want to discriminate against us.” Chad brings up an excellent point! The more you know…sounds cliché doesn’t it? But it’s so true.
Some other news worth mentioning here. Republican Presidents George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan never used the word “gay” in any of their presidential remarks. George W Bush did use gay in a public speech twice! Both times, anti-gay propaganda….uh huh. Here is a bit of advice for the Republican’s in America. Get your heads out of your asses on social issues if you ever want to be in office again. You’re embarrassing for this country!! Leave women, gays and all other minorities alone!!!

Looking premiers tonight on HBO!
So excited to check it out! The much anticipated show finally airs tonight. Lots of people are excited about this show as there hasn’t been much in the way of gay series recently. Looking airs tonight at 10:30 PM on HBO.

Puta (AKA Putin) says gays better leave kids alone!
So I reported earlier this week that Russian President Puta said that gays will be “safe” in Russia during the Olympics. Well he recently added to that with a small caveat. They will be safe as long as “they leave the children alone”. He reminded the press that his anti-gay laws clearly banns gay “propaganda” among minors, gay folks can’t talk to people under 18 about gay rights.
His PR folks are working hard. He also said that “We have no ban on the non-traditional forms of sexual intercourse among people,”. “We have the ban on the propaganda of homosexuality and pedophilia. I want to stress this: propaganda among minors. These are two absolutely different things: a ban on certain relations or the propaganda of such relations.”. The irony here is that Putin is totally ok with spreading this anti-gay propaganda. The anti-gay propaganda is what should be illegal. As for pedophilia, I am pretty sure this is not a gay-only issue.
Well Puta Putin, you may just want to save what little respect you have left and admit you’re a bigot and wrong. Just sayin.

So this lady is interesting. Sally Kern, has said and continues to say some pretty awful things. Clearly someone who is brainwashed by her religion, she once said that homosexuality is “the biggest threat our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam.”. Hmmm. Ok. Well our friend Sally just did it again! Anyone else thinking of Britney Spears Oops I Did It Again?!? Sorry. I get sidetracked easily. She just said that homosexuality is not a human right. Instead, it is “a human wrong”. She went on to say that people aren’t born gay. Isn’t it funny when ignorant people speak? She also believes that the earth is only a few thousand years old…Her most recent hate-filled comment is because of the recent rulings stating that banning same-sex marriage is un-constitutional.
I say she should join forces with Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin to join the dumbest women in politics group. Granted…the group of dumbest men in politics is much bigger. You know…because men are typically not as smart as women but that’s another story 🙂

Warning this is pretty upsetting. I hate reading stories like this but I think it is very important to raise awareness of things like this. A 16-year old boy was tortured to death in Brazil by a gang of skinheads after attending a gay-themed party near the stadium that will host the World Cup ceremony this summer… Kaique Batista dos Santos, 16, has ALL OF his teeth PULLED out with iron rods and then was kicked/beaten to death…This is making me tear up and just feel sick. There is something very human that happens to us when we read things like this. It touches us somewhere deep…at least those of us with a heart.
Here is what is sister said, “These thugs enjoy beating and torturing with their bare hands and they are please to take the lives of homosexuals.”.
A vigil will take place in memory of the fallen teenager in Sao Paulo on Friday and the official statement from the Department of Public Safety is that this report is “confidential”. BS. Do something about it.
Such a tragic loss. 16. An innocent life taken because of the horrible propaganda that is spread about the gays. This has got to stop. And something that people need to get is that every time gay marriage is denied or every time you hear a preacher at Church say that being gay is sin, it quietly supports this type of behavior. This is a fact. That is why I say any sort of anti-gay propaganda is supporting hate-crimes. Please think about this and pass the message on.

Open letter to Utah government
Dear Utah Government,
Your state is known for the crazy $hit that goes down with the Mormons. Everyone knows that you turn the other way or even support their crazy ways. Everyone knows the Mormon’s donated millions of $ to stop gay marriage in California, promote conversion therapy to turn gay people straight (which science has proven is deadly) and not to mention that bit of a mess called polygamist compounds. Yes, we know about that. People have multiple wives and some of them are underage and immediate family members. This is fact. And yes, you have made some very public arrests in a very clear effort to show the “liberal media” that you don’t support the polygamists.
Here we are in 2014 and you are fighting so hard to block marriage equality for people who simply love each other. They aren’t looking to have multiple partners, marry their immediate family or impose their political views on others. They are simply looking to have the same civil rights as everyone else. And let’s be clear on one thing. Marriage is a civil rights issue.
I have been to Utah many times and there are lovely people there. Most of them transplants for work… That said, I think you should work on promoting education, feeding the hungry, stopping 50-year-old men from marrying their 14 year old cousins and other very real and pressing issues. Additionally, please don’t forget that we have separation of Church and state for a reason.

So the host and cast of UK car show ‘Top Gear’ have gotten into some trouble for posting this pic on twitter. The host Jeremy Clarkson (in the pic) was sleeping on the pic and someone took this pic of him. He posted to his Twitter and has since taken it down and apologized. I don’t know if he had anything to do with this pic but clearly he thought it was funny enough to post on Twitter.
Not sure how people have not gotten the message yet but GAY means either homosexual or happy. It can’t be substituted for other words. I’d love to punch whoever wrote that sign right in their genitals.

Being gay is against Muslim law (civil law)
I know that my opinions on organized religion are not exactly the norm and I also do realize that there are times where I am tough on organized religions. That said, I really do think religion is great when used in the right context. Now having said that piece, I can’t understand how some religions are so extreme.
Nigeria has some pretty tough anti-gay laws. Nigeria also has the most Muslims in Africa. That said, Muslim law (the actual civil law) forbids homosexuality. I’m not talking about gays can’t adopt or get married (which is still disgusting and wrong) but being gay is actualy a straight up crime in any Arab nation. Basically what that means is that you can and will be prosecuted for being homosexual. I should also mention that women are second class citizens in any Islam nation as well. I have NOTHING against the Muslim religion. I am simply stating facts. You can check out a list of Islam nations here. One more quick note: Under Islamic law, a homosexual can be sentenced to death by stoning. Same for women that disrespect” their husbands. Lastly, men can have more than 1-wife. Sadly, this may include immediate family.
Back to the story. A Nigerian man received 20 lashings by order of an Islamic court for being gay. The story doesn’t end here. There is currently a real life witch-hunt situation in Nigeria. Officials are actively looking to find gays and bring them to “justice”. The deputy head of the Hisbah in Kano state, Usman Nabahani told the news that the anti-gay laws were a “welcomed development” and “Definitely, we will work tirelessly toward the enforcement of this law by the special grace of God,”. Special grace of God eh?
As if that wasn’t enough, he added “Obviously, we will embark on similar raids on gays and lesbians in Kano,”. “From now on, we will go into every nook and corner of Kano state to ensure that (the prohibition of) prostitution, gay marriages, marriages of the same sex and consumption of alcohol… is fully complied with, so that we can have a decent society….We are given more power, we are given more support now to wage serious war against these issues.”.

Putin feels the heat
As you know, Russian President Vladimir Putin has received harsh criticism over his anti-gay laws. Wonder why? Ya jack ass. Anyway…Putin or Puta as I prefer to call him (look it up), keeps trying to dismiss all the concerns about his anti-gay laws. He claims no athlete will face discrimination. Really?? How is that going to be possible if you have anti-gay laws?? Are you going to create some sort of special law that gives the athletes a special group of rights? Here is what Putin had to say on Thursday to the foreign ambassadors. “The Olympic Games will be held in full compliance with the Olympic charter, without any discrimination on any basis. Russia will be rooting for its own athletes of course, but we wish success to all the athletes,”. He went on to say, “I am confident the Olympics will bring nations closer together and help strengthen friendship, trust and partnership around the world,”.
Sounds to me like he got himself a great PR guy or gal. You also may have read that many world different leaders will not be attending Thai Olympics this year. President Obama of the US and UK Prime Minister David Cameron to name a few… Also, US President Obama has named quite a few gays to attend the Olympics as US delegates. Something tells me he would be pretty pissed if anyone laid a finger on them…

Quick rant: Civil rights
It’s slowly happening. Judges are starting to get their heads out of their asses and saying that laws banning gay marriage are unconstitutional. NO SHIT! Liberty and justice for all. ALL! That includes the most fabulous people.
Just a quick rant as I am reading news about how US District Judge Terrence Kern ruled that Oklahoma’s ban on same-sex marriage violates the US Constitution. Way to go Oklahoma! Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I’ve said it before, I give national marriage equality 5-10 years max in the USA. Probably closer to 5.

Banned advertisement from the ant-gay group Core Issues
Over in London, there is a group called “Core Issues”. It is a Christian group that is focused on helping turn people straight! Magically of course because THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE! What’s next? Mind you this group has had their ads banned in London because they are “extremely offensive” and now there is a bill in the parliament that will make this type of group illegal under tighter laws around the psychotherapeutic industry.
The practice of the “gay cure” or “gay conversion” therapy is widely condemned by professionals. Conversion therapy has been proven to cause depression, anxiety and suicidal tendencies. Core Issues openly practices conversion therapy…but that’s not what they say. Here is what their spokesperson had to say, “It’s not conversion therapy. It’s about assisting people to change from unwanted sexual attraction if they want to have this therapy.”. That’s right. It’s about changing people’s feelings that YOU don’t like. I wish they would just own it.

Texas is known for having some interesting characters. Well Rep. Louie Gohmert just proved that things are certainly bigger in Texas. Especially idiots. Gold old Louie said that the judges who passed marriage equality “need some basic plumbing lessons.”. He had the following to say during a ‘meeting with conservatives’ event, “…Basically, we haven’t seen any biological evidence to support marriage being between a man and a woman…”. It is so funny when folks who think the world is 2000 years old start talking about biology. It’s like ok, the world is 2000 years old, God created everything in 7 days and oh yea…biology is great when we can use it to discriminate.
Louie is also known for saying that the gays are causing societies downfall with the “gay agenda”. More irony. These people spewing hate talk about agendas… I wonder if they can even spell agenda.
Bottom line, this guy and all his like-minded friends are on the wrong side of history. Using religion to promote bigotry has been done since religion has been around. Sadly, it is not religion itself that is the issue. It’s always the people.

Yay Britain!
Marriage equality has finally come to Britain! Two quick notes here. 1. I like many people didn’t realize Britain didn’t have marriage equality. They actually had civil-unions since 2005. 2. Any country with a QUEEN best have gay marriage! Ok?? Heyyyyy..

House of Commons Speaker John Bercow announced the great news on Wednesday. The “Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill,” will legalize same-sex unions in England and Wales. Queen Elizabeth have her official ok to the law as a formality. According to the Associated Press, this law will allow gay couples to have both civil and religious (as long as the religious organization wants to) ceremonies in England and Wales.
Good for you Britain! Hopefully the USA won’t be too far behind 🙂

Oh Mormon Church…
The Mormon Church just released a SHOCKING statement saying that they don’t want gay marriages conducted in their temples. However, feel free to marry your sister. Ok, I added the sister part but…let’s be real folks. Uh huh.
Here is a statement from the Mormon Church that I actually agree with: “Just as those who promote same-sex marriage are entitled to civility, the same is true for those who oppose it,”. This is true. Just because their view point is clearly bigoted, they are entitled to it. You can’t force someone to think differently. That said, they don’t have the right to influence politics or infringe on the rights of others.
“Consistent with our fundamental beliefs, Church officers will not employ their ecclesiastical authority to perform marriages between two people of the same sex, and the Church does not permit its meetinghouses or other properties to be used for ceremonies, receptions, or other activities associated with same-sex marriages,”. “Nevertheless, all visitors are welcome to our chapels and premises so long as they respect our standards of conduct while there.”. Well…they have the right to their opinion. I think it’s unfortunate that an organized religion would exclude a chunk of their own but that is their choice.
Will be interesting to see how the organized religions handle this going forward. The head in the sand approach is starting to wear thin with people that can think for themselves and as people are more educated now.

Yes! Utah same-sex marriages recognized federally! Go USA!!
This is tremendous news!! As you know, the idiots in Utah don’t recognize same-sex marriage at the moment. After thousands of marriage licenses were handed out, the Supreme Court extended a stay to the old bigoted law that prohibited marriage equality. Well…guess what just happened? No Utah hasn’t gotten it’s head of it’s wacky ass. Instead, the federal government has stepped in and essentially said “enough”.
Attorney General Holder said gays “should not be asked to endure uncertainty regarding their status” as Utah figured their &hit out.
He went on to say, “I am confirming today that, for purposes of federal law, these marriages will be recognized as lawful and considered eligible for all relevant federal benefits on the same terms as other same-sex marriages,”. “These families should not be asked to endure uncertainty regarding their status as the litigation unfolds.”
Ummmm. Brilliant. Finally sounds like the Feds are getting something right. Major props. Of course this has lawsuits written all over it. You now have a class of citizens in Utah that have FEDERAL equality but do not have state privileges. Additionally, you have all the gay couples that are married in one of the decent (or pro-equality) states who don’t have federal rights. Honestly, this is a huge mess. Something tells me we will have marriage equality federally in the next 5-10 years. That seems like a very long time to me though given the fact that it is 2014.
Comment for Utah Governor Herbert: You will be laughed at when we look back on this. Not only are you wrong with your bigoted opinion but you will have the honor of being one of the elite few that openly and proudly went out of their way to take rights away from American citizens. You and your kind have done exactly the opposite of what America is about.
Lastly, the last official Gallup poll in July of 2013 said 54% of Americans support marriage equality. I think that number is much higher but that does confirm 1 thing that all of is forward thinking folks know. Half of the population is dumb as rocks…that’s not just here in the USA. Russia is turning into Nazi Germany
This is scary. Today the Russian Orthodox Church announced that they think homosexuality should just be banned all together. To be clear, they want to remove homosexuals from society. Does that sound familiar at all? This is especially troubling because it is coming directly from the Church. There are no mixing words here. This is nothing short of criminal.
Here is what evil spokesman. Vsevolod Chaplin had to say to the online edition of the pro-government Izvestia daily, “There is no question that society should discuss this issue since we live in a democracy,”. “For this reason, it is precisely the majority of our people and not some outside powers that should decide what should be a criminal offence and what should not.”. Lastly, he said, “I am convinced that such sexual contacts should be completely excluded from the life of our society,”
Wow. Seriously dude? I wasn’t aware that it’s 1945 again. He then went on to add, “If we manage to do this through moral pressure, all the better. But if we need to revert to assistance from the law, then let us ask the people if they are ready for this.”. !!!! So basically he is literally saying that they are striving for Nazi Germany…I really hope that world leaders take this very seriously because this is the exact type of rhetoric that was spewed in Nazi Germany before things got bad.
By the way, over 1/3 of Russians view homosexuality as an illness according to recent polls. Has anyone taken a step back and thought why?? Gee. I wonder.
This is major folks. The news from Russia has not been good for equality. Let’s hope things change and soon.

The moron published an open letter to bigger moron Putin asking him to get even more aggressive on the anti-gay laws. Do NOT protect gays from human trafficking
Janice Pauls- probably needs to count a bumpy road as a date…
This is pretty disturbing. Lawmakers in Kansas are talking about a new human-trafficking law that also protects LGBT individuals. Different groups of people are protected under various human-trafficking laws and the purposes of the various laws are to protect. Other than the obvious point that human-trafficking of any kind is wrong, you may ask yourself what is wrong with protecting gay individuals. Good question. Rep. Janice (Jan) Pauls does NOT want to protect gay individuals and is not pleased that this new law calls out sexual orientation as a protected class. Pauls states that gays and lesbians are currently not a protected class in Kansas and that it would be bad to add them as a protected class in this law because technically in Kansas, they are not protected. Also, she goes on to say that it may harm the individual because religious organizations often help take people in. She fears that a religious organization may turn someone away if they are gay
So many things wrong with this situation…not sure where to start. Let’s keep it simple. This lady is clearly a bigot and a nasty person. The fact that you would even bring this up is nothing short of evil. It is so sad to see that someone could be so close-minded to bring up his or her personal BS views on a human-trafficking law. Next, if a religious organization would turn someone away for any reason who has come for help…well then that religion should take a serious look in the mirror and re-think it’s definition of immorality.

Another athlete comes out!
Thomas Hitzlsperger
This time it was German FORMER soccer player Thomas Hitzlsperger. I have no idea how to talk the language of sports so I figured it would be best use Wikipedia…or I may say something completely wrong (like touch down at a baseball game…it happened).
Wikipedia bio: Thomas Hitzlsperger (born 5 April 1982) is a German former footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent the early part of his career playing for Aston Villa in England (accompanied by a short loan spell at Chesterfield), before returning to Germany to play for Stuttgart, where he won the Bundesliga in 2007. In 2010 he signed for Italian side Lazio, before moving back to England to join West Ham United later that year. He then had brief spells with Wolfsburg and Everton.
Hitzlsperger also represented the German national team, earning 52 caps and being selected for the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008. Following a series of injuries, he retired from football in September 2013.
As it states above, he retired in Sept. of 2013. Yet another FORMER athlete that comes out. I’ll take it. I have written about athletes coming out and how I think we need more active athletes coming out. In my opinion, athletes are scared to lose lucrative endorsements and fear not being “part of the team” so they stay closeted.
Hitzlsperger spoke with German newspaper Die Zeit and said he came out right before the Winter Olympics intentionally in support of the community. “I think this is a good moment for it,”. “The Olympic Games in Sochi are coming up and I think we need critical voices against the campaigns of several governments against homosexuals.”. GOOD FOR YOU!! And yes yes yes!
Hitzlsperger went on to say “Homosexuality is ignored in football,”. “To this day, I don’t know one player personally who has expressed himself on the topic,”. “As absurd as it might sound in 2014, in soccer, ‘gay’ is still a swear word. You even say ‘gay pass’ after a weak pass to another player,”. Sadly, he admitted to using the ‘gay’ slur himself. Just goes to show you how (blissfully) ignorant athletes can be.
I say GOOD FOR HIM and I look forward to more athlete taking that brave step out of the closet. This is truly the civil rights issue of this generation and it is a shame that it is taking so long to move forward!

Shouldn’t out the professional athletes
While my opinion is that all the closeted professional athletes are nothing short of cowards and liars, it is their right to do so. There is always chatter in the news about what athlete is gay and some of it is true. Where there is smoke, there is fire. That said, outing someone is never the right choice.
I hope there is a day where we don’t need to come out. Where it is completely normal to be straight or LGBT. The truth is that we are all born this way. Including the heterosexuals.
Back on topic. Unless someone is actively anti-gay and a public figure, we really have no place outing them. It is a deeply personal decision. There are factors that go beyond acceptance. What we do need is more straight professional athletes speaking up that being gay is ok. We need to educate the uneducated. Making it easier for those in the painful closet to come out. It shouldn’t be a choice between coming out and keeping your lucrative contract and endorsements. My personal opinion is that being honest with yourself and your fan base is more important than the $ but that is easy to say when I don’t have a $100 Million contract in front of me.
I write this today as I am reading the stories about Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers QB and his alleged boyfriend.
I had a closeted relationship with someone who worked in professional sports and I can tell you from experience that these gay/bi-sexual professional athletes are crippled with fear, self-doubt and insecurities. Not that much different then the rest of us who haven’t come out yet.

Aaron Schock: clearly “straight”
I just LOVE this article! Seriously one of the best things I have read in such a long time. The article highlights politicians that have been caught in a compromising position to put it nicely. The position is a gay one. Not just a little gay but full on Mariah Carey, Lady GaGa and Madonna gay.
Let’s examine the common theme among almost 100% of these men. They are anti-gay in some way. They have either voted to limit gay rights or have been extremely outspoken with their bigotry. Now any half-intelligent person should be able to pick up on this common denominators pretty quickly here. Oh and they are mostly Republicans as well. Isn’t that just festive? I always say and truly believe that when people are nasty/rotten you don’t really need to do much to prove it. They will do a great job of proving just how nasty and rotten they are on their own. This is especially true for bigots. They are so clueless, they just keep proving how ignorant they are (Sarah Palin is a great example of an idiot who is blissfully ignorant).

Equality on hold in Utah
The Supreme Court has pleased equality on hold in Utah. Utah’s AG was granted his emergency stay of the bigoted law banning same-sex marriage.
There was no reasoning offered and this stay is “pending final disposition”. This is truly a shame and slap in the face of equality.

Evander Holyfield needs to get his head checked
Boxing “champ” Evander Holyfield had some verbal vomit last night on the show “Celebrity Big Brother”. He compared being gay to being handicapped and being gay “is something that can be fixed”.
Hmmmm….Evander, you half-wit, similar to the damage to your brain from being hit so much, being gay is not something that can be fixed. Unlike your horrible point of view, being gay is also something that shouldn’t be fixed. Damn man, you need to start wearing a helmet! Sad to say, but at least he has an excuse. He’s brain is probably mush at this point. What’s the excuse for all the other idiots out there saying similar things??
I was reading this morning that people are calling for him to be kicked off the show. I know a lot of folks out there will say that he was just practicing free speech. To those people I say, what would happen if he made an anti-black comment? What our friend Evander and most other bigots don’t get is that bigotry is bigotry. Sadly for Evander, he is a member of a community that has faced similar bigotry. You would think he would have enough common sense to realize that?
As I keep writing about, all bigotry roads lead to religion. The easy solve would be for people to face the fact that we shouldn’t take religious scriptures so literally.

You should never out someone. Well…that is almost never. I do believe there is one small exception to that rule.
If someone is a public figure and using that fame as a stage to spew anti-gay hatred, they should be outed. Not because they are a public figure but because the my have chosen to use that spotlight to shame the very community they belong to. For example, if a politician is publicly anti-gay and votes to limit gay rights….this person should be exposed for the 1. Bigot that he/she is and 2. Sham that he/she is.

Straight NFL player fired for supporting gays
I normally don’t write about sports because…you know, it’s a complete waste of time but this is pretty interesting.
Chris Kluwe was the punter for the Minnesota Vikings from 2005-2012. He claims the NFL fired him for his support of same-sex marriage. He even wrote an article about it (click here for the article). This has caused quite the scandal. Other NFL players are coming out in support of Chris, which is great to see. This brings up the topic of homophobia in professional sports. Anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out that there are obviously gay players in the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL. Assuming 1 out of 8 (I think it is more like 1 out of 5) people is gay…do the math. I think the pro-sports teams are scared to show their support for gay rights because they are too scared to step outside the box and go against man-made gender roles. Manly men supporting gays??? That would just be too much. A gay man being a manly man playing sports?!? Well that would just be CRAZY! The other and primary concern is $$$. The major leagues are scared that they will lose some of their fan base by having a gay player. Why? Because they think that sports fans just couldn’t handle a gay player. A very smart mentor of mine once told me that all roads lead to money. This is indeed a very true statement. This is the same reason national brands have been so slow in incorporating gays in their advertisements.
Back to the topic at hand. Brendon Ayanbadejo is another NFL player who says that Chris is “100% right” when he says he was fired for his support of same-sex marriage. Brendon went on to say “You’re talking about a guy who was the first or second in every punting category in terms of performance in Minnesota Vikings history.”.

The poem is called “I” and is pretty cool. The video is produced by the International Gay And Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) and by J.D. Kamran. It shows the struggle of the LGBT community in Iran. Being gay is illegal in Iran like it is in many neighboring countries. Not only is being gay illegal but the crimes against the LGBT community are too much and too disturbing to list. It is truly a different world and we should all be thankful for our freedom.

I began a fast on Saturday the 21st of December; and will continue the fast until the State of Utah exercises its right of nullification. I will go without food or drink, but will continue to drink water, and take weekly vitamin supplements.
On Friday the 20th of December, a federal judge overturned the State Constitution of Utah and ruled against and its restriction against same sex marriage. In so doing, Article 1 Section 8 and the 10th Amendment of the U.S Constitution were violated. Even worse a law voted on by a strong majority of the people of Utah was rescinded, thus robbing the people of their voice in government. And if this law remains, the natural rights of free speech and religious freedom, vouched safe by the first Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, will be violated.
This has nothing to do with hatred of a group of people. I have friends and relatives who practice a homosexual lifestyle and I treat them with the same respect and kindness that I would anyone. This is about religious freedom, and an out of control federal government.
So…here is my advice for Trestin. Good luck to you sir. Question for you though. Since you are fighting this holy fight, why not just cut out water and vitamins? Surely, you will live due to a miracle from God. Sounds like you are full of something already. Just go with it bud. Let us all know how it turns out.

Utah is spending $2 Million of taxpayer $ to fight marriage equality
You can’t help but say “huh??” to this one. Utah’s Attorney General, Sean Reyes is spending about $2 Million of taxpayer dollars to fight the noble fight of the righteous or whatever he wants to call it. As you know, Reyes has been wining since same-sex marriage became legal again in Utah. He even filed for an emergency stay of the bigoted law that banned same-sex marriages. This is a HUGE amount of money to waste on something that clearly has bigoted roots that are promoted by various religious organizations.
This is just a drop in the bucket of money that has been wasted in recent history for people trying to “protect marriage”. In 2011, U.S. House Republicans spent $2.3 Million of taxpayer dollars to defend the bigoted Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The lawyer hired has a billable rate of $520 an hour. I don’t care what your personal beliefs are. I don’t want to contribute $1 of my hard earned money to support bigotry.
How much GOOD could we do with all that money and energy that has been wasted on promoting bigotry? Feed the hungry, provide life-saving vaccinations to those in need, help the homeless…I could go on and on. Logic and reason folks. It is truly lost on most people.
Bottom line, everyone should have the CIVIL RIGHT to get married. Religious organizations should have the right to decide who they want to marry based on their ridiculous and man made rules.
