Anti-gay rant by Vine star: Only gay men have HIV

This is…bad.  Nash Grier, a 16-year old Vine star with 8.7 million followers released this video in April but the video has come under the spotlight.  He’s showing a commercial for an HIV home-testing kit  where they say “Testing for HIV, it’s not a gay thing”.  Grier then says “Yes it is! Fag!”
The F word makes me cringe in agony each time I hear it.  Hearing an obnoxious teenage boy screaming it makes it worse somehow.  Grier has released an apology statement saying he is sorry and that he “was young and in a bad place”.   I think it’s safe to say the countless people that have been bullied for their sexual orientation or HIV status are the ones that were in a bad place.

This type of language is nothing short of a hate-crime.  Virtual in nature but very much real.  We all know HIV is not a “gay thing”.

Here are some facts from the CDC.  Read the full report here.

Transmission Category: From 2008 through 2011, among adult and adolescent males, the annual number of diagnosed HIV infections attributed to male-to-male sexual contact increased. The numbers of infections attributed to injection drug use, to male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use, and to heterosexual contact decreased. Among adult and adolescent females, the numbers of infections attributed to injection drug use and to heterosexual contact decreased. In 2011, diagnosed infections attributed to male-to-male sexual contact (65%, including male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use) and those attributed to heterosexual contact (27%) accounted for approximately 92% of diagnosed HIV infections in the United States.

Hope this kids learns his lesson and uses his fame for good.

Evander Holyfield needs to get his head checked

20140106-090237.jpg

Boxing “champ” Evander Holyfield had some verbal vomit last night on the show “Celebrity Big Brother”. He compared being gay to being handicapped and being gay “is something that can be fixed”.

Hmmmm….Evander, you half-wit, similar to the damage to your brain from being hit so much, being gay is not something that can be fixed. Unlike your horrible point of view, being gay is also something that shouldn’t be fixed. Damn man, you need to start wearing a helmet! Sad to say, but at least he has an excuse. He’s brain is probably mush at this point. What’s the excuse for all the other idiots out there saying similar things??

I was reading this morning that people are calling for him to be kicked off the show. I know a lot of folks out there will say that he was just practicing free speech. To those people I say, what would happen if he made an anti-black comment? What our friend Evander and most other bigots don’t get is that bigotry is bigotry. Sadly for Evander, he is a member of a community that has faced similar bigotry. You would think he would have enough common sense to realize that?
As I keep writing about, all bigotry roads lead to religion. The easy solve would be for people to face the fact that we shouldn’t take religious scriptures so literally.
That is all. Kisses!

New book: “Maybe He’s Not Gay”

Let me just say that I CAN’T with these people.  There.  Got that out.  I feel better.  Let’s move on.

Do you know who Linda Harvey is? I didn’t either until I read all about her lovely new book called “Maybe He’s Not Gay”.  She is essentially a bigot that hides behind her faith while she spews hate.  Very similar to most bigots.  I am really torn on this.  While I fully support free speech and think this lady should have the right to write this book, I think the book is quite damaging and harmful.  I think it’ll do damage to anyone that comes in contact with it.  It PAINS ME to think about the poor child who has a parent who would actually purchase this.  If anything, this book is proof that not everybody is fit to be a parent.

Keeping it respectful and professional here for a moment.  Let’s just review a few things.

ALL CHILDREN NEED SUPPORT AND LOVE FROM THERE PARENTS to establish a positive sense of self.  There are thousands and thousands of studies that support this.
-LGBT youth have the HIGHEST rates of suicide, anxiety and depression.  This is one of the SADDEST things I can think of.  We are not born to hate.  We are conditioned to by religion and society’s idea of what is “normal” (this ideology is based off what religion’s define as “normal”)
-I want us all to be very clear here.  If a parent has a child who thinks he or she is gay and that parent does ANYTHING but 100% support that child, it is a form of child abuse.  The sooner society recognizes that, the better off we will all be.

Back to crazy! Here is what Linda has to say about her book.

“”I’m gay.” As more and more young people announce this is their identity, it’s time to take a closer look. It’s a profound declaration, a new civil right (they are told) and it’s “who you are.” But there’s a problem. Are we sure this is the truth? Does this identity bring the promised liberation and the key to a whole new life? Does it lift the burden of secrecy – or begin a different kind of struggle?”<— Yes, it brings on a completely different kind of struggle because bigots like you are using religion as a weapon to hurt innocent people.  Go f*ck yourself you dumb c*nt.  And YES, it is a CIVIL right to be free and who we are.  Put the bible down for a second and better educate yourself.  Oh, I’m done being professional.  Forgot to give you a warning.

Here is Linda’s bio from her book.

Bigot and horrible person- Linda Harvey

Pope Francis: Not a fan of the gays

This shouldn’t be too surprising.  Openly anti-gay Bishop Charles Scicluna says he met with Pope Francis and the pope was very much against gay couples adopting.  Pope Francis has been in the news a lot this year labeled as a “more liberal” pope.  Let’s be clear here. If you are not supporting equality you are against it.  There is no reward for being less of a bigot than others.

2013 was not a very gay friendly year for the Catholic Church.   There have been MANY anti-gay statements made by Bishops all over the world this year.  The highlight for me was when Bishop Thomas John Paprocki performed an EXORCISM on gay marriage in Illinois! The runner up for me this year was when Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan said Catholic Church was being “caricatured as being anti-gay”.  He wasn’t kidding.  That is the scary thing!

One more thing for us to all be clear on. The Pope runs the show at the Catholic Church.  He would silence his Bishops if he wanted to.  Pope Francis is 100% against equality.  Granted, he may be less public with his bigotry.

Hopefully the Catholic Church (and all other organized religions) will focus on more important and relevant things in 2014.  Things like preaching love, teaching people to be kind, preaching tolerance and most importantly, modernizing dated views on gender roles and the LGBT community.

Lesbian gets hate instead of a tip. Our POV on this.

So this story has been all over the web the past few days and we weren’t sure if we wanted to cover it but we had to share our thoughts on this as well.

Image from Facebook. Dayna Morales.

Image from Facebook.
Dayna Morales received a lovely “tip” from a “family in NJ.

Facebook: moralesday12
Dayna Morales was a US Marine.

Her tip because she was a lesbian.  $0 on a nearly $100 bill and this lovely message from a “family”, “I’m sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle & the way you live your life.”.  Oh, and the lovely “mom” said this to Dayna, “Oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan. You sure surprised us,”.

Obviously the concern is for the kids.  They are being raised by a delusional, bigoted bully and are being hard-wired to hate.  THAT is the obvious take-away.  My concern is this.  What if one of those kids is gay? The chance is slim here but my point is to think about how many gay kids are brought up with a similar situation.  Not only are the kids learning hate but they are learning to hate themselves.   There are hundreds of studies that will tell you that GLBT teens have a higher incidence of suicide and drug related issues.  Think about what that would do to that child’s sense of self.   Now take a step back and ask why and where.  Why do people feel this way and where does it come from? That’s what I want to discuss more and what will be the main topic of my upcoming book! Stay tuned…
